Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson. You will design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations for complex weapon systems across development, production, field, and sustainment phases.

Occasional CONUS travel, flexible assignments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are part of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline.
• Experience using parametric 3D CAD to create 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Experience with mechanical design through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures.
• Develop environmental test stations for mechanical systems across lifecycle.
• Create 3D assemblies and detailed 2D drawings with CAD tools.
• Ensure data packages adhere to ASME Y14 or ISO GD&T standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues.
• Assist in integrating and validating test systems for accuracy and reliability.
