RTX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Hardware Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on mechanical hardware design, system integration, and program execution across design and production support.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical design, experience with 3D CAD (CREO), GD&T, and cross-functional collaboration in defense programs, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience creating, reviewing and interpreting technical docs for hardware or tooling.
• Experience in mechanical design, development, manufacturing or tooling processes.
• Experience creating and releasing engineering drawings using a 3D CAD tool.

Responsabilités

• Design products across lifecycle from proposal to testing of missiles, launchers, and related hardware.
• Perform mechanical design analyses to ensure form, fit and function.
• Lead small teams and collaborate cross-functionally with other disciplines.
• Support product assembly and integration at domestic and international sites.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
