RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and integrate mechanical hardware for defense systems. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, leadership of engineering activities, and hands-on support in manufacturing and testing.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree with several years of relevant experience, strong CAD skills (CREO) and a track record of delivering hardware on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in creating, reviewing and interpreting technical documentation for hardware or tooling.
• Experience in mechanical design, development, manufacturing or tooling processes.
• Experience in engineering drawings utilizing a 3D CAD tool.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical hardware and assemblies across lifecycle from proposal to testing.
• Perform mechanical design analyses to ensure form, fit and function as intended.
• Lead small teams in a fast-paced environment with structures, thermal, harness and interconnects, electronics packaging, tooling and integration.
• Support product assembly and integration at domestic and international locations.
