Job summary

RTX is seeking a qualified engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, supporting high‑reliability fixtures and environmental test stations for national defense programs across the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes design, analysis, prototyping, and implementation using state-of-the-art CAD tools, with collaboration across cross-functional teams. Occasional CONUS travel and DoD Secret clearance eligibility are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required by start date.
• Experience using 3D CAD to generate 3D solid models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Hands-on mechanical design experience from coursework, competitions, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations.
• Create 3D CAD assemblies and 2D drawings with detailed documentation.
• Ensure data packages meet industry drafting standards (ASME Y14 / ISO GD&T).
