RTX’s Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson is seeking a highly capable engineer to design, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations spanning development to field sustainment.

You will use CAD tools to generate 3D models and detailed drawings, ensuring system accuracy and reliability across complex weapon-system lifecycles in a high‑consequence defense environment.

Qualificações

• Advanced degree in STEM discipline; degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience creating or maintaining mechanical hardware documentation and drawings adhering to ASME Y14 or ISO standards.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsabilidades

• Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
• Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art test technologies.
• Utilize CAD tools to create 3D assemblies and 2D drawings.
• Ensure data packages adhere to industry drafting standards (ASME Y14/ISO).
• Integrate and validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose malfunctions and implement design enhancements.
