Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Prior experience as Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto/off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Use safe lifting techniques and proper handling equipment.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for classification and freight rating.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution when loading.
• Inspect freight and document shortages or damage; review freight bills and manifests.
• Verify hazardous material descriptions and proper placarding when loading hazardous material.
