Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a PT Outbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling. You will weigh and measure shipments, verify paperwork, and use forklifts or hand trucks as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to pass background and drug tests, and forklift certification preferred. Second shift with pay $18.70–$22.20 per hour; location Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for classification and safe handling.
• Review freight bills and manifests for instructions and exceptions.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
• Verify hazardous material descriptions and placarding when loading.
