Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines seeks a PT Outbound Freight Handler to load/unload freight and assist in recouping damaged freight. You will prepare trailers, use proper lifting techniques, and operate equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, forklift certification, and prior warehouse experience. Background checks and drug testing are required. Pay ranges from $18.10 to $21.60 per hour, Second Shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Prior forklift operator or warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from equipment.
• Prepare and inspect trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments to ensure proper classification.
• Inspect for damage and document shortages.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
