Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Outbound Freight Handler in Conley, GA for the second shift. You will load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and use forklifts and hand trucks to move items safely.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be able to pass a background check and drug test, and ideally have forklift experience or certification.

Pay ranges from $29.70 to $34.50 per hour, with pay varying by location and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Background check and drug test clearance mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Use forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and rollers to move freight.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for proper classification and handling.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution during loading.
• Verify manifests, bills, and hazardous material paperwork as applicable.
