Job summary

Rivian seeks an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join the Service team during peak seasonal periods. You will help achieve seamless care and prep Rivian vehicles for journeys ahead, while gaining hands-on experience toward a future as a Service Technician.

The role spans vehicle ops, PDI support, and a structured TRAIL training path, with opportunities to progress within Rivian Learning Network and cross-functional support across the site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous technical experience or adjacent technical industry experience preferred.
• Desire to learn, adaptability, and hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and clean record.
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week including varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & site operations: receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle delivery readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics: lot organization, shuttling, and key management.
• Maintain a clean, safe service center environment following 5S principles.
• Service Production Support: assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs focusing on PDI tasks and Express Lane work.
• Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Support the workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
• Training & Career Development: participate in the TRAIL program and guided hands-on learning.
• Receive mentorship and on-the-job training for the Service Technician role.
• Complete Rivian Learning Network (RLN) modules.
• Explore a pathway into a long-term career as a Service Technician.
• Provide cross-functional support to other areas as needed.
