Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join our Service team in Washington. You’ll support vehicle readiness, learn PDI tasks, and assist technicians during peak seasonal periods to ensure smooth operations and keep Rivian owners on the move.

The role provides hands‑on development with a clear pathway toward becoming a Service Technician, including TRAINING through the TRAIL program and Rivian Learning Network modules. Expect varied shifts and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Previous technical experience in automotive repair or related technical field is highly preferred.
• A strong desire to learn with a hands-on mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and clean record.
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week including weekends/holidays.
• Physical ability to perform tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands to operate tools and record information.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions.
• Interaction with customers, families, suppliers may occur.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Site Operations: Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics, lot organization, shuttling, and key control.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized service center per 5S principles.
• Service Production Support: Assist technicians with basic repairs focusing on PDI and Express Lane tasks.
• Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Support the workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
• Training & Career Development: Participate in TRAIL program with hands-on learning and growth.
• Receive mentorship and on-the-job training for Service Technician role.
• Complete Rivian Learning Network modules.
• Explore pathway into long-term Service Technician career.
• Provide cross-functional support to other areas as needed.
