Job summary

Rivian is hiring an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join the Service team during peak seasonal periods in Southern California. The role focuses on getting vehicles ready, assisting with basic repairs, and learning through the TRAIL program and RLN modules.

You will gain hands-on experience, support vehicle readiness, and develop toward a future as a Rivian Service Technician in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous technical experience in automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, or related field is highly preferred.
• Strong desire to learn with high adaptability and hands-on mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work a flexible 40-hour week, including varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely under supervision, and read basic documents.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & site operations: receive, inspect and process incoming vehicle inventory; maintain vehicle readiness through washing, detailing and charging; manage lot organization and secure key management; maintain a clean, safe service center per 5S principles.
• Service production support: assist technicians with basic repairs, focus on PDI tasks and Express Lane work; learn to use basic tools; support workshop tool and equipment readiness.
• Training & career development: participate in the TRAIL program; receive mentorship and on‑the‑job training for the Service Technician path; complete RLN modules; explore a long-term Service Technician career; provide cross-functional support as needed.
