Job summary

Rivian in California’s Ventura area is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join our Service team during peak seasonal periods. You’ll help with vehicle inventory, prepping vehicles for delivery, and supporting the workshop as we keep owners on their adventures and Rivians ready for the journey ahead.

This entry-point role offers hands-on training through the TRAIL program and RLN modules, with mentorship toward a future Service Technician position and cross-functional exposure across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or other credential preferred.
• Previous technical experience in automotive repair or adjacent technical industry is highly preferred.
• A strong desire to learn, adaptability, and hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, including weekends/holidays; physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands for tool use, data entry, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle quality and delivery readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics, lot organization, shuttling, and key management.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized service center environment following 5S.
• Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs and PDI tasks.
• Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Support the workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
• Participate in TRAIL program and RLN modules for growth.
• Explore a pathway into a long-term career as a Service Technician.
• Provide cross-functional support to other areas as needed.
