Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal tax professional to advise clients on tax matters and serve diverse needs with expert guidance. You’ll conduct interviews in person or via video and phone, prepare returns, and help grow your client base while supporting IRS-related tasks.

The role requires a CPA/EA credential or progress toward certification, strong accounting experience, and the ability to mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
