Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to interview clients—in person or virtually—and prepare accurate tax returns. You will work with an expert team, build client relationships, and aim to grow business through additional products and services.

This role requires CPA/EA certification or progress toward it, strong experience with tax planning and audits, and the ability to mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax experience.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including audit representation where applicable.
• Mentor and support teammates.
