Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking seasonal, experienced Tax Professionals to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS support while engaging with clients through virtual tools and in-person meetings.

The role emphasizes growth, client retention, and offering additional services, with rigorous training and compliance to IRS/state requirements. A strong accounting background and CPA/EA credentials are preferred, with high standards for accuracy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
Experience with tax planning and audit support
Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
Provide clients with IRS support
