Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll deliver accurate returns, provide IRS support, and help clients grow their financial confidence through proactive tax planning.

In this role you’ll conduct tax interviews face-to-face and via virtual tools, prepare complete returns, and mentor teammates while adhering to IRS rules. A Bachelor’s in accounting or related field and CPA/EA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
