Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused retail team member in California to provide friendly service, resolve returns, support order pickup and process transactions accurately.

You will mentor new employees on the register, build trust with customers and teammates, and contribute to a positive store environment while promoting Nordstrom Loyalty and new tools. Hours vary, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android.
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds and constant movement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems.
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program and new tools.
• Hours vary based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
