Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. Westport, CT is hiring for a store associate to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience.

You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, and help maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store. Responsibilities include assisting customers, enrolling them in rewards programs, supporting omnichannel processes, and following SOPs while representing the brand with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers and answer questions.
• Work hours include nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and private label credit cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/back stock
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully with team and customers
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
