Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Lurie Children’s Town & Country Pediatrics. This front-desk role focuses on registration, eligibility checks, and coordinating with clinical teams using Epic EMR.

You will handle patient communications, collect payments, schedule appointments, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate care to pediatric families.

Qualifications

• Completes pre-registration and full registration for families.
• Verifies eligibility information accurately.
• Obtains consents for care, HIPAA, and forms and enters into Epic.
• Interacts with MyChart, Care Everywhere, and Epicare Link as needed.
• Seeks referrals and assists with same-day services when possible.
• Collects payments (estimates, copays, balances) per system guidelines.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and families for visits and services.
• Checks insurance and handles patient payments and paperwork.
• Schedules appointments including follow-ups and ancillary visits.
• Enters patient information into electronic systems accurately.
• Communicates wait times and service delays to families.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to coordinate care.
