Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant in Miami to support chefs during classes and help deliver a premier guest experience. You will assist with mise en place, prep ingredients, and keep the kitchen clean and organized while engaging with guests and upholding brand standards.

The role requires a passion for cooking, teamwork, and flexible availability 12–16 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail and food prep experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older to employment.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Food prep or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by delivering memorable, educational experiences.
• Stay current on products through training and self-learning.
• Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture in kitchen and retail areas.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive enrollment and positive feedback.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Set up and breakdown classes; prepare mise en place and maintain cleanliness.
