Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. You will help deliver memorable culinary experiences and contribute to high enrollment and guest satisfaction.

The role requires flexibility for a part-time schedule and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior retail and food prep experience is preferred, with a Food Handlers Certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences for guests.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment and positive reviews.
• Assist in setting up and breakdown of classes, and maintain clean workstations.
