Job summary

Shenandoah Hospitality is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor for a seasonal role at Shenandoah National Park. The position oversees Guest Services, Room Revenue, Public Areas and Employee Services to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Sales and Marketing preferred.
• 2 years front desk/room registration/hospitality experience preferred.
• 2 years supervisory or management experience preferred.
• National Park or Resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lodging Manager with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of all Guest Services staff including Front Desk and Public Areas staff to ensure safe and efficient operations per the Company’s guidelines.
• Provide effective supervision, professional development and recognition programs for all Lodging staff for employee growth and bench building.
• Design, plan and coordinate special projects/events to improve guest services and assist with guest room improvements as requested.
• Plan and coordinate monthly events for employees to enhance team relations and a positive work environment.
• Coordinate processes to ensure new hires have clean employee housing units and inspect employee rooms prior to arrival to ensure health and safety standards.
