Jackson Hewitt - EMG is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead the district’s day-to-day operations across multiple stores, partnering with the District Manager to optimize revenue and profitability. The role emphasizes recruiting, staff development, and strong client service during a busy tax season.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory experience, tax knowledge, and the ability to coordinate HR-related activities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience leading and inspiring others.
• Proficient with Dayforce or HRIS and MS Office.
• Tax knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-unit retail locations in the district and support the District Manager to maximize efficiency, revenue, and profitability.
• Lead recruiting, interview seasonal staff, and drive the tax education process and onboarding workflow.
• Monitor employee performance and coordinate with HR on training and employee relations issues.
• Ensure locations meet company standards for setup, equipment, and facilities; coordinate with property managers on actions.
• Build the business by retaining clients, attracting new clients, and enhancing brand awareness.
• Resolve client questions or complaints and provide policy guidance as needed.
• Guide staff in handling complex problems and escalated issues.
• Monitor district GL & P&L, and manage cost controls and tax return counts.
