Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead a district consisting of twenty or more stores. You will support recruitment, training, and day-to-day operations, driving revenue and profitability while maintaining high service standards.

Your role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with flexibility for evenings and weekends in a fast-paced retail tax environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
• 2 years of management/supervisory experience required.
• Entrepreneurial spirit to drive results.
• Tax knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and client service skills.
• Reliable transportation, insurance and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-unit retail locations in the district and collaborate with the District Manager on operations, revenue and profitability.
• Oversee recruiting, interview seasonal staff and drive tax education and team onboarding.
• Monitor performance, ensure quality standards and partner with HR on training and employee relations.
• Ensure locations meet company standards (setup, buildouts, tech, supplies, facilities).
• Build the business by retaining clients, attracting new ones and boosting brand awareness.
• Address client questions and escalate disputes as needed; manage P&L and district goals.
