Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - HQN is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead multiple store locations within the district, driving operations, revenue, and client service during peak seasons.

You will oversee staffing, tax education programs, and performance, while coordinating with district leadership to meet goals and maintain standards across locations. This role requires strong leadership and communication in a fast-paced retail tax environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in business or related field; management coursework preferred.
• 2 years of previous management or supervisory experience is required.
• Entrepreneurial spirit to drive results and improvements.
• Tax knowledge is preferred to support client education.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-unit retail locations within the district and partner with the District Manager to optimize operations, revenue and profitability.
• Lead recruiting and the interview process for seasonal staff and manage tax education and team flow.
• Monitor staff performance, ensure quality standards, deadlines, and procedures, and coordinate with HR on training and issues.
• Maintain compliance with company standards for office setup, technology, and facilities; liaise with property managers as needed.
• Foster client relationships, resolve issues, and support tax return processes and district goals.
