Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - EAI is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead district operations across multiple stores, driving efficiency, revenue, and client satisfaction during the tax season. You will recruit, interview, and onboard seasonal staff, oversee training, and ensure all locations meet brand standards.

Responsibilities include managing P&L for the district, handling escalations, and partnering with HR for staff development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent related business experience. Course of study in management or in tax preparation and/or accounting preferred.
• 2 years previous management or supervisory experience required with a passion for leading and inspiring others.
• Entrepreneurial spirit that inspires out of the box thinking to impact business results.
• Tax knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills.
• Must possess reliable transportation, insurance, and a driver’s license in good standing.
• Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications such as electronic mail, internet browser, Dayforce or other HR information system, online time-tracking, Word, and Excel preferred.
• Knowledge in accounting or tax preparation software preferred.
• Ability to sustain energy and remain available to subordinates during season including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Multi-unit district operations leadership to maximize efficiency, revenue and profitability.
• Lead recruiting, interviewing of seasonal staff, and oversee tax education and onboarding.
• Monitor performance and coordinate training with HR on issues and relations.
• Ensure locations meet company standards for setup, tech, supplies, and facilities; liaise with property managers.
• Build the business by retaining clients, attracting new clients and increasing brand awareness.
• Resolve client questions or complaints about policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to staff in handling difficult problems and escalated disputes.
• Oversee GL & P&L reports and district goals including revenue, cash control and tax returns.
