Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to greet clients, manage check-in, schedule appointments, and support a busy tax office. This in-person role offers training and growth toward tax prep or office leadership. Evening and weekend availability during tax season is expected.

You will collaborate with tax professionals to ensure a smooth day-to-day operation and maintain a welcoming, professional environment for every client who walks in.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and client service.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort with basic computer programs and scheduling systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional.
• Manage client check-in and intake, including scanning and organizing documents.
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a professional client experience.
• Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality and care.
