Job summary

H&R Block in Texas is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to be the welcoming face for our office. You will greet clients, manage scheduling, and support daily operations alongside tax professionals as you learn the basics of tax preparation and office leadership.

This role is in-person and not remote. With training, you’ll gain confidence handling client documents, coordinating check-ins, and helping the team deliver a professional client experience during busy tax

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
