Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a Logistics Specialist to coordinate transportation of students to and from school, events, and related activities. You will support drivers, monitors, and staff to ensure safe, on-time service and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include directing daily assignments, scheduling drivers, communicating details to crews, handling emergencies, maintaining route records, and ensuring compliance with district and state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months related experience.
• Valid CDL with endorsements preferred.
• Experience with routing software.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors daily assignments; schedules drivers and vehicles.
• Ensures on-time route coverage and communicates details to crews.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates repairs or replacements.
• Maintains route documentation and compliance with contracts and records.
• Provides excellent customer service to customers and parents.
