Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a Dispatch/Operations professional to coordinate daily driver assignments and routing across multiple routes and services. The role emphasizes on-time performance, effective communication with drivers, and quick resolution of routing issues.

We require a high school diploma or GED, strong organization, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Experience with routing software and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous dispatch experience preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and routing software.
• Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors daily assignments; schedules drivers and vehicles to ensure coverage.
• Ensures on-time completion of routes, field trips, and charter work.
• Communicates routing details to drivers for proper execution.
• Assists drivers with routing directions and special services as needed.
• Escalates unresolved issues to management as appropriate.
