Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a qualified dispatch supervisor to direct daily driver assignments, schedule routes, and ensure coverage of all routes, field trips, and charter work. You will communicate route details to drivers and coordinate with maintenance for uninterrupted service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, prior dispatch experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in dispatch or routing is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors daily driver assignments; schedules routes for all school transportation.
• Ensures on-time execution of daily activities and communicates details to drivers.
• Coordinates with maintenance for vehicle service to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates replacements as needed.
• Maintains route documentation and complies with district/state requirements.
