Job summary

Durham School Services seeks an experienced dispatcher to manage daily driver assignments and routing. You will schedule drivers and buses to ensure full route coverage, while communicating essential routing details to drivers for effective execution.

You will respond to emergencies, coordinate repairs, and maintain accurate route documentation, handling customer concerns professionally in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors daily assignments; schedules drivers and buses to cover routes.
• Communicates routing details to drivers to ensure proper execution.
• Assists drivers with routing directions and special services when required.
• Responds to emergency calls and coordinates repairs and replacements.
• Maintains route documentation for accurate customer information.
• Handles customer concerns in a professional manner.
