Job summary

Cortica is seeking a dedicated School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You will work with educators and the clinical team to help students succeed throughout their school day.

Responsibilities include implementing individualized plans, data collection, and collaborating with the educational team. A strong commitment to safety, de-escalation, and following school protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of work experience in ABA or Behavior Technician roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to travel between work locations with reliable transportation.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 behavior support to students in school settings.
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs aligned to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily routines.
• Support student communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care.
• Collect data on student progress and complete timely session notes and incident reports.
• Participate in classroom observations, team meetings, and school-based training.
