Job summary

Cortica - Neurodevelopmental is seeking a School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and neurodevelopmental differences in school settings.

You will work with educators and the clinical team to implement behavior plans, collect progress data, and support student engagement throughout the school day. A BCAT or RBT credential is required, with potential for transportation between locations.

Qualifications

• Active BCAT or RBT credential.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within schools.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs, aligning with the student’s IEP and school goals.
• Work closely with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into the daily classroom routine and support students’ engagement and learning.
• Support student development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care as appropriate to the school context.
• Utilize a strengths-based treatment approach developed in collaboration with the educational team.
• Collect data consistently on student progress and behaviors during each session and complete timely documentation.
• Implement proactive behavior support strategies and follow school safety and crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting procedures.
