Job summary

Cortica is seeking a dedicated School Behavior Technician (SBT) to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You’ll work closely with educators, caregivers, and Cortica’s clinical team to help students succeed across their school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Ability to obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within schools.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily routines and support learning.
• Support development in communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care as appropriate.
• Use a strengths-based treatment approach developed with the educational team.
• Collect data on student progress and behaviors; complete session notes and incident reports timely.
• Apply proactive behavior support and follow school safety and reporting protocols.
