Job summary

WSP is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer for our Albuquerque, NM or Las Vegas, NV offices. You will work with the ESSP team on electrical studies, SCADA, protection, and related power-system tasks, contributing to projects spanning generation, transmission, and distribution.

Applicants should have a relevant ABET-accredited degree and 3–5 years of experience in design or device configuration, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in electrical or related field.
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience.
• Understanding of power systems, protection, and permitting processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA, and protection tasks.
• Develop and review protection schemes and relay settings.
• Support power system planning studies and dynamic stability work.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation of analyses.
• Assist project managers with risk assessment and field coordination.
• Travel to project sites to test and commission systems.
