Job summary

WSP is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer for our Salt Lake City office to work with the ESSP team on electrical studies, SCADA and protection. The role involves applying knowledge of three-phase power and power system fundamentals to projects across generation facilities, substations and transmission systems.

The successful candidate will perform protective relaying, planning studies, and design studies, with occasional travel to project sites and a focus on producing clear technical reports

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE/BSEET/BSCe in Electrical or related field.
• 3–5 years of design or device configuration experience.
• Fundamental understanding of three-phase power and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA and protection work for ESSP projects.
• Develop protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies.
• Contribute to power system planning, stability and dynamic analysis.
