Job summary

WSP Salt Lake City is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer to join our Salt Lake City, UT office, focusing on electrical studies, SCADA and protection projects within the ESSP team. You will analyze three‑phase power and power system fundamentals, help develop protective relaying schemes, and support design efforts for generation facilities, substations and transmission systems.

This role offers growth in a growing practice and opportunities to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BSEE/BSEET or BSCE from ABET-accredited university.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in design or device configuration.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power system design/permits.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA and protection-related tasks.
• Develop protective relaying schemes and settings calculations.
• Conduct power system planning studies and feasibility analyses.
• Create technical reports and study documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams and travel to sites as needed.
