Job summary

WSP is seeking an ESSP Electrical Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ office. The role involves electrical studies, SCADA and protection tasks and may require travel to project sites.

You will work with the ESSP team to support conventional and renewable generation facilities, substations, and transmission/distribution projects. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 3–5 years of relevant design experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience in design or device configuration in electrical disciplines.
• Fundamental understanding of three-phase power and power system basics.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical studies, SCADA, and system protection analyses.
• Develop protective relaying schemes and relay settings calculations.
• Contribute to power system planning studies and stability analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and assist project teams with design concepts.
