Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end SCADA systems for wind, solar, and battery projects. You will drive design, procurement, commissioning, testing, and turnover, ensuring a safe, reliable startup.

You will collaborate with plant controllers, OEMs, operators, and partners to align controls and data paths with grid requirements, while managing schedules and risk through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of networking equipment connecting generation assets.
• Experience with OPC, DNP3, Modbus, and EGD protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the plant communications network: IP plans, protocols, interfaces, and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet operational and grid requirements.
• Own energization and commissioning plans, scope, sequence, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve field issues, and provide on-site programming support during commissioning.
