Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end delivery of SCADA systems for wind, solar and battery storage projects. You will design, implement, test, and turnover robust control and data acquisition solutions across OT/IT ecosystems.

You will coordinate with plant controllers, EPCs, and operators, manage the commissioning plan, ensure NERC compliance, and stay current with industry practices through training and on-site work across multiple

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of physical and software networking equipment connecting generation assets.
• Experience with OPC, DNP3, Modbus and EGD protocols.
• Experience around HV/MV infrastructure (substations, switchyards, lines, transformers).
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Up to 25% travel.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the plant communications network including IP plans, protocols, interfaces, and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to configure controls and data paths to meet requirements.
• Own energization and commissioning execution plan with scope, sequence, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor progress remotely and onsite, resolve field issues, and provide on-site programming during commissioning.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align SCADA deliverables with project requirements.
• Track design schedules and communicate status and risks to meet critical dates.
• Maintain system configurations for SCADA, plant controllers, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment.
• Oversee delivery of as-built turnover packages to Operations for maintenance.
• Support technical due diligence with independent engineers and partners.
