Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA). You will lead end-to-end delivery of SCADA systems for wind, solar, and battery projects, coordinating with OEMs, operators, and partners to ensure safe startup, commissioning, testing, and turnover to Operations from day one.

You will manage design, procurement, and field support across SCADA/OT/IT ecosystems, ensuring robust performance and alignment with project schedules while advancing renewable energy

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of SCADA experience in transmission, distribution, or generation.
• Knowledge of networking equipment and industrial protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, EGD).
• Experience with HV/MV infrastructure (substations, switchyards, transformers).
• Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
• US work authorization now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the communications network for SCADA/OT/IT equipment.
• Coordinate with plant controller OEMs and utilities to meet requirements.
• Define energization and commissioning plans, scopes, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor progress, resolve field issues, and provide on-site programming support during commissioning.
• Ensure SCADA deliverables align with project schedules and requirements.
• Maintain system specs for SCADA, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment for reliability.
• Oversee as-built turnover packages to Operations for long-term maintenance.
