Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Project Engineer in Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA). You will lead the end-to-end delivery of SCADA systems and related communications for wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

This role requires coordinating with plant controllers, OEMs, and operators to ensure safe, reliable startup and seamless turnover to Operations. You will design and secure the SCADA/OT/IT ecosystem, implement network security, and drive commissioning, testing, and handover activities

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of networking equipment and industrial protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, EGD).
• Experience with HV/MV infrastructure and substations/switchyards.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and strong communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for renewable projects; deliver turnover to Operations.
• Build and secure the plant communications network, including IP plans, protocols, interfaces, and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to configure controls and data paths to meet grid requirements.
• Define energization and commissioning plans, scope, sequence, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor progress and provide on-site programming and field support during commissioning.
• Maintain system specifications and configurations for SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment.
