Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end SCADA deployments for wind, solar and battery projects. You will drive design, procurement, commissioning, testing and turnover, ensuring safe, reliable operation from day one.

You will work with plant controllers, OEMs, and operations to configure data paths, secure networks, and meet grid requirements, with travel up to 25% and a BS in engineering.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Experience with industrial networking equipment and protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, EGD).
• Experience with HV/MV substations and protective relays helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure plant communications network including IP plans, protocols, and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (OEMs, operators, owners) to meet operational requirements.
• Define energization and commissioning plans, scope, sequence, and risk mitigations.
• Monitor progress, resolve field issues, and provide on-site programming support during commissioning.
• Ensure SCADA deliverables align with project schedules and critical paths.
• Maintain system specs/configs for SCADA and IT/OT equipment.
• Oversee as-built turnover packages for long-term maintenance.
