Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA). This role leads end-to-end delivery of SCADA systems and related communications for wind, solar, and battery projects, coordinating with plant controllers, OEMs, and Operations.

You will design, procure, commission, and turnover SCADA/OT/IT infrastructure, ensure safety, reliability, and grid compliance, and support field issue resolution while traveling up to 25% as required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of networking equipment for generation assets.
• Experience with OPC, DNP3, Modbus, and EGD.
• HV/MV substation and transmission experience.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the plant communications network including IP plans and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with OEMs, transmission operators, and owners to meet grid requirements.
• Define energization/commissioning scope, sequence, and readiness gates.
• Support on-site programming and field issues during commissioning.
