Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end SCADA delivery for wind, solar and battery projects. You will design, procure, commission, test, and turnover SCADA and OT/IT infrastructure, coordinating with plant control OEMs and operators.

Your work ensures safe startup, reliable operation, and compliant integration of RTUs, HMIs, controllers, and network security. This role requires travel and strong project management.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of SCADA experience in transmission, distribution or generation.
• Knowledge of networking equipment and industrial protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus, EGD).
• Experience with HV/MV substations and related equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Up to 25% travel.
• Valid driver's license and legal ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the plant communications network including IP plans and firewalls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to configure controls and data paths.
• Define energization and commissioning plans with scope and risk mitigations.
• Monitor progress remotely and on-site; support field issue resolution.
• Ensure SCADA deliverables align with project schedules.
• Maintain system specs for SCADA, controllers, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment.
• Provide as-built turnover packages to Operations.
• Support due diligence with independent engineers.
• Stay current on technology via training and conferences.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
