Job summary

Invenergy is hiring a Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering (SCADA) to lead end-to-end SCADA systems and communications for wind, solar, and battery projects. You will work with stakeholders to translate designs into detailed implementations, procure equipment, and drive testing and turnover to Operations.

The role focuses on secure SCADA/OT/IT integration, controllers, RTUs, HMIs, and network security to ensure reliable startup and operation from day one. 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
• 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience.
• Knowledge of networking hardware and software interfaces for generation assets.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC, DNP3, Modbus).

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Build and secure the plant communications network, including IP plans and firewall rules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to configure controls and data paths to meet operational and grid requirements.
• Define the energization and commissioning plan with scope, sequence and risk mitigations.
• Oversee design schedules, track progress, and ensure critical dates are met.
