Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a SCADA engineering professional to assist in the technical design of substation and renewable energy Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This role involves design of hardware, networking, fiber, RTU configurations, HMI screens, and cybersecurity considerations.

BV engages in SCADA engineering and design for substation modernization and renewable energy integration, including QA, standards development, and on-site or remote commissioning support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• Minimum five years of related work experience in SCADA or power projects.
• Experience with substation and renewable energy automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Generate engineering design documents, drawings, and configuration files for SCADA systems.
• Provide oversight and lead lower-level engineering work.
• Develop control narratives, data links, and procurement specs for SCADA equipment.
• Collaborate with the project team and clients to ensure timely, compliant delivery.
