Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer - SCADA to join our team.

The SCADA Engineer will support high-voltage substation design projects and renewable energy interconnection efforts, applying engineering knowledge to meet milestones. You will work with project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery, perform design, QA/QC, field support, and provide guidance on SCADA network and communications.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in the STEM field.
• Minimum 3 years related SCADA or network/IT/OT experience.
• Experience with SCADA and/or network programming at the device level.
• Experience with IT and/or OT system development and/or operation.
• Ability to review IT and/or OT system designs and recommend improvements or efficiencies.
• Ability to travel and be onsite for commissioning support (1–2 weeks per trip, ~6 trips/year).

Responsibilities

• Perform SCADA, network and communications design and programming duties.
• Develop network design documents and IT deployment strategies.
• IT hardware specifications and deployment/ integration plans.
• HMI configuration files and RTU/substation programming.
• QA/QC of SCADA schematics and configurations.
• Support procurement, construction/testing/commissioning activities and field personnel.
